FIX: Play Store Not Working After Using Freedom App

Freedom is an app that tweaks games and apps in Android to make in-app purchases free off cost. It is supported in all of the available Android versions. But sometimes after using freedom, google apps stops working. Chrome was okay in my case but Playstore and YouTube stopped working.
There are a bunch of methods available to solve this problem. This post features the best two out of all. The first method seemed to work on all the devices that i tried. You can try on all methods until your Play store work.

  1. This is the easiest one out of all. The problem must have started because you have force closed or cleared Freedom from task manager while it was running. So to solve the issue, open Freedom app, you will see a loading screen indicating that some processes are starting. Now you need to press options ( three dots in the top right corner) and press Stop. This will stop all the processes and freedom stops. Now exit the app and your Playstore and all other Google apps will be working.
  2. This is also an easy method but requires root permissions to access the phone's system files. Open any file manager that supports the option to browse system folders. Navigate to system/etc, scroll down until you find a file called "Hosts". Simply delete that file. Now your Playstore will be up and running.
